Hi, my name is Bárbara, and I started playing the guitar when I was 8 years old.

I am a classical guitarist, but over the years I have learned to experiment with other styles and genres such as pop, rock and improvisation. I am excited to show you just how much fun playing can be! I am currently completing an undergraduate degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

I have performed as a soloist and in chamber and ensemble situations, which were exciting and rewarding experiences for me. I love the guitar because it's such a satisfying instrument to play! It fits into any genre of music or as part of a group or just as a solo instrument. It has a beautiful sound and is a lot of fun to play and to learn.

You can experiment with it a lot and you can also use it to accompany other instruments or singers, or even yourself!

I enjoy teaching pupils of all ages and particularly helping beginners to start playing the guitar.

I tailor all my tuition according to your preferences and at a comfortable learning pace to suit you. Petra Hajduchova

About

Hi, I’m Petra and I play all sorts of keyboards such as piano, harpsichord or even a church organ.

I have been teaching piano and harpsichord for over a decade and it’s been a fun and rewarding experience for me. I am sure it has been the same for many of my pupils too.

I completed my studies at Trinity College of Music, London and was awarded a TCM Scholarship, the Raymond Russell Prize and as well the June Emerson Wind Music Launch/pad Prize for Flute-Harpsichord duo.

Besides performing live and recording I have also broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, and recently I recorded with, The Harmonious Society of Tickle-Fiddle Gentlemen disc of Moravian Baroque composer Gottfried Finger.

Teaching

My methods are simple; I develop the ability, talent and interests of each of my pupils.

I will work with you, to get you using the right piano techniques and to enjoy your learning. I’m a big supporter of each pupil’s own self-realisation and I encourage you to think about what you are learning and how you are learning it. Therefore, I encourage pupils to express their own ideas, their individual approach to learning, repertoire and performance attitude. I pay close attention to good posture while playing an instrument, as well as an understanding of music theory.

Also, I provide interesting anecdotes and facts about the composers and the background and history of each piece studied. So, besides learning to play well you will also become familiar with the landscape of music.

My pupils’ ages range from 5 year old and retirees. I like to teach classical style, reading notes and counting rhythm but I’m also very flexible in terms of repertoire such as pop, rock music and light jazz, understanding harmony or chords and how to memorise songs.
